After many tryouts, it was decided that Justin Burmeister would be offered the position. Though he was a "schooled" musician, his style meshed very well with the music being created at the time and there was a definite "connection" on the creative and personal fronts.

Soon after Justin joined SBW, the writing of new songs commenced. The "Alone" demo arose out of these writing sessions. Still using Todd's recording equipment and expertise, this release was leagues beyond previous efforts. recording-wise. "Star" was the audience favorite and the band began getting better shows around town.

Soon after playing some of those "better" shows, however, Ron decided to persue other avenues and left SBW to play with Pretty Flowers.

Justin then decided that it would be best to look into career options, and moved in that direction leaving Todd and Curt to figure out what to do next.
