Dr. Iverson (née Mosaphir) is a researcher primarily focused on machine learning and applied mathematics. She started at SIFT in May 2022.
Before working at SIFT, Dr. Iverson was a Ph. D. student/teaching assistant at University of Minnesota from 2017-2022. Her thesis, "Numerical Analysis of Prediction with Expert Advice", covered a solution to the online machine learning problem of prediction with expert advice that used partial differential equations. She was awarded the Outstanding Teaching Assistant award for the 2019-2020 year. Her other professional experience includes internships at XLP Capital (a NY-based hedge fund) and IDeaS Revenue Management (software company for the hospitality/travel industry), and research experiences at the Mathematical Sciences Research Institute (Berkeley, CA) and the Concord Field Station (biomechanics research group in Bedford, MA).
