DARPA Picks SIFT for AI Cyber Challenge Competition
SIFT has been selected by the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) as one of seven competitors in the AI Cyber Challenge (AIxCC) Small Business Track. SIFT’s LACROSSE (LLM+AI Cyber Reasoning Security System) concept design received a one million dollar award and will compete in the AIxCC semi-final competition at DEF CON 2024 in Las Vegas in August, on the road to the 2025 final competition, which offers a four million dollar grand prize.
AIxCC is a two-year competition asking the best and brightest in AI and cybersecurity to design novel AI systems to secure critical software systems. SIFT’s LACROSSE system was chosen by DARPA’s panel of subject matter experts, based on expertise, concept technical feasibility, technical approach, and open-source strategy.
